Zooz Bikes: Launching a design-led electric mobility brand from concept to global lifestyle startup

OVERVIEW

Zooz Bikes began as a garage concept from a small group of industrial designers seeking to reimagine the electric bicycle for a new generation of urban riders. I joined as a founding member and product strategy lead, helping transform the idea into a commercially viable brand—building the product strategy, brand platform, and go-to-market model that took Zooz from prototype to a multi-million-dollar direct-to-consumer and retail business.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The electric bike category was growing rapidly, but most products targeted utility-focused commuters. The team saw an opportunity to build a design-forward electric mobility brand for urban riders seeking performance, style, and cultural relevance.

The challenge was to reposition the product, define a clear audience, and launch a brand capable of competing in a fast-growing global market.
